Welcome to Moriches
The smallest and westernmost of the three hamlets collectively known as The Moriches offers a rarity on Long Island: waterfront living at affordable prices. There are docks and marinas along the creeks that extend upward into the hamlet from Moriches Bay, and the unspoiled ocean beaches of Fire Island, including Smith Point County Park, are minutes away. A relaxed community, Moriches is largely covered by green space, including a wetlands preserve and Hank Hulse Farms, which sells fresh produce from its fields. A few restaurants, including the popular Moriches Bay Diner, and businesses dot Montauk Highway, and the closest LIRR station, Mastic-Shirley, is a couple of miles west.
